THOUGHTS ON THE LORD’S DAY

“Would you not that I be about my Father’s business?” Luke 2:49

If what you do on a daily basis is not the “Father’s business,” who’s business is it? Why do it if it’s not the Father’s business?

If it is the Father’s business does it deserve your best effort? Does it have eternal consequences? Will you be held accountable for the results?

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Colossians 3:23

Regardless of where you report for duty every day and to whom you report, it’s the Father’s business to which you are attending. Everything you do is your personal signature of who you are and whose you are. Would the Father endorse your efforts on a daily basis, regardless of how great or small the task?

”They were astonished above measure saying, he (Jesus) doeth all things well” Mark 7:37.

It’s not the greatness of our task that builds our reputation. It’s the greatness we bring to every task. It not only brings the Father’s approval, it provides His priceless favor that astonishes the unbelievers.

When the mundane tasks become astonishing to the unbelievers surrounding us every day our witness becomes stronger and brighter without a word being said.

Are you about your own business, or the Father’s business? Your level of satisfaction or frustration is a great indicator.
