Pastor Rodney Derrick is an anointed preacher, lecturer, conference facilitator and speaker.  His gift has been a blessing to men, women and children of all ages for over 39 years. Representing the third generation of Gospel preachers in his family, Pastor Derrick is the thankful recipient of the gift of ministry that was passed from his grandfather on to his father and now to him.    Pastor Derrick was called by God to preach as a teenager in 1979 and in 1982 he was ordained as an Elder.   Pastor Derrick has served in many capacities within the Kingdom of God, including associate pastor, district evangelist, and district organist.  Pastor Derrick has also worked with inner-city youth in the teaching of leadership and development.

Since joining The Potter’s House of Dallas in 1999, Pastor Derrick has served The Potter’s House faithfully under the tutelage of Bishop T.D Jakes.  He has been a team leader in the Ministerial Department, an instructor at The Potter’s Institute, and has led as both a team leader and Director of TPH New Member Relations Department.

In 2006, Bishop T.D Jakes felt lead of the Holy Spirit to bring Pastor Derrick on staff to join him and others in full-time ministry.  Pastor Derrick oversees Deacons & Wives, G3 Ministry (50+), the Prisons Ministry, Professional Ministry Technicians (ushers and greeter’s) the GAP Ministry (Intercessory Prayer), and International Translation (translations of many different languages).

Pastor Derrick is a certified coach of Pre-marital and Post-marital couples, and also holds a certificate in Mental Health First Aid in the USA.  Pastor Derrick attended Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois; and holds a Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity.

Pastor Derrick by the call of the Lord to open a new church in San Antonio TX, Life Community Church SA, Inc. Where he serves as Senior Pastor and his wife Ramona Derrick as Co – Pastor.

He has been married for 39 years, he and his lovely wife, Ramona reside in San Antonio, Texas – together they share the call to ministry and are the proud parents of three wonderful children,  and openly expresses their love for all their grand-children.
